#Craftsmanship #BrassKits Kits Requiring More Craftsmanship were prevalent and can still be occasionally found for sale on the Internet. I like some of these models because once again, they are unique in their own right. You will find that building an Arvid Anderson brass kit is not as challenging as building an old time kit say put out by Locomotive Workshop. Some may say these kits was sloppy in their creation however I found the design was to challenge your ability as a craftsman. They require more ingenuity and building one of these kits did not take up just one weekend. They required a lot of work and once finished gave the modeler a lot of pride in their work.
In any case, the point is if you really want to up your game before doing any scratch building, modeling a brass kit requiring more skill will certainly do the trick. The Locomotive Workshop kit was a C&O/Nickel Plate copula style caboose and was the product of Jan A. Lorenzen, Englishtown, NJ.
